A reason to choose local

The replacement that gets a project moving

Prepared at your shop. Delivered to their door.

A customer needs a small replacement part to finish a project today. Your WooCommerce store has it on the shelf, but they cannot leave the job to collect it. With a suitable local delivery option, they can place the order through your existing checkout while your team prepares a labelled parcel for collection.

Your product knowledge stays at the heart of the sale. Local delivery helps bridge the last few miles between the stock you already carry and the customer who needs it now.

Built around the way you sell

What local delivery brings to WooCommerce

01

Keep your WooCommerce checkout

Use the RentADriver plugin for live quotes, or configure a matching flat shipping method. Review your shipping zones so the option is only offered where it makes sense.

02

Less copying between systems

The connection reads eligible paid orders and supports automatic booking when WooCommerce marks a matching order as processing. Manual booking is available for eligible orders.

03

A familiar order record

Tracking is added through order notes and the delivery reference is stored with the order. Supported delivery updates can mark the order complete.

From order to handover

How delivery works with WooCommerce.

The WooCommerce workflow joins two familiar tasks: managing a paid order in WordPress and arranging its local handover. Start with your shipping setup, then decide which processing orders should become deliveries. The useful result is a repeatable packing routine with a linked order note your whole team can find.

  1. 01

Connect the store and choose a shipping method

Approve the WooCommerce connection and review the pickup address. The RentADriver plugin supplies live checkout quotes. You can also use a flat shipping method named ‘Same-day by RentADriver’. Place the method in the appropriate shipping zones and review it alongside the other delivery choices in your checkout.

    • Confirm the collection contact and covered local area.
    • Set preparation time, cut-off and maximum parcel size.
    • Review the customer fee and keep delivery funds available.
  2. 02

Turn processing orders into prepared parcels

The order list focuses on WooCommerce orders in processing status. Eligible paid orders with the matching shipping selection can enter automatic booking, while manual review gives your team control over individual cases. Check the recipient details and actual package measurements before arranging collection.

    • Use the paid order as the reference for packing and handover.
    • Check which items require shipping and what is ready to leave.
    • Review an existing booking before attempting the order again.
  3. 03

Keep tracking with the WooCommerce order

At pickup, the connector adds a tracking note and maintains the delivery reference in the order's stored details. Supported completion behavior can mark the order complete on delivery. Your team can move from the purchase record to tracking when a customer calls, instead of searching a separate list of courier messages.

    • Open the tracking link from the order's delivery information.
    • Review progress before telling a customer that an order has arrived.
    • Keep the order reference with any support enquiry.

The customer fee and the delivery cost

A flat WooCommerce shipping method sets what the customer pays, not what every journey costs. Live quoting can reflect the delivery request; either way, review your wallet funding and the margin on the local orders you intend to serve.

Your next step

Set up your WooCommerce delivery offer

Bring your store details and a clear idea of the area you want to serve. Start small, review the full order journey and expand when your collection routine is working well.

Have these details ready

  • A reachable WooCommerce store with API access
  • Permission to approve read/write access and manage shipping
  • The plugin for live checkout rates, or a correctly named flat method
  • Covered addresses and an accurately configured pickup

Same-day delivery depends on service coverage, order eligibility, preparation time and driver availability. A quote is an estimate; review the terms and delivery details before booking.

Available on WordPress.org

RentADriver for WooCommerce

Enter your store URL. WooCommerce asks you to approve read/write API access once; the app then finds your store address, registers order webhooks and opens your delivery settings.

Before you connect
  • Store in a launch city. Deliveries run for addresses inside your radius of a covered store — check coverage.
  • Live checkout rates come from the free RentADriver Delivery plugin on WordPress.org; without it, add a flat shipping method named “Same-day by RentADriver”.
  • Orders paid with the RentADriver option are booked automatically; tracking and delivery notes land on the order.
  • Pay per delivery from a wallet. Top up by card inside the app; review delivery costs and configured booking rules before enabling automatic bookings.

Keep the day running smoothly

The details that make delivery easier.

Your checkout has custom extensions

Review the local shipping option with the checkout and shipping plugins your shop already uses. A method that appears in the wrong zone can create expectations your collection area cannot meet.

The order is still awaiting payment

Resolve the payment state in WooCommerce before treating it as ready for dispatch. The connector's paid-order checks help keep an unpaid purchase out of the automatic delivery flow.

The package is larger than expected

Measure the packed item and review the delivery details again. Packaging changes can affect suitability and cost; a product's catalogue dimensions may not describe the finished parcel.

Merchant questions

Before you get started

Do I need the plugin?

The plugin supplies live checkout quotes. The store connection can also recognize a flat shipping method named ‘Same-day by RentADriver’. A flat customer fee is separate from the actual delivery cost.

What triggers automatic booking?

Eligible orders using the configured RentADriver option can be booked when WooCommerce marks them processing. Delivery rules, funding and order eligibility still apply.

Will I need to rebuild my website?

The integration works with your existing WooCommerce store. You still need to review compatibility with your checkout, shipping zones and other plugins before launch.
